Your SSCC: What is it?

Student Staff Consultative Committee

The SSCC, or Student Staff Consultative Committee is a body of students and staff in the Archaeology department that meet termly to discuss current matters of the department.

The committee is composed of course reps, of which Amie is one, and specific representatives who sit on wider committees outside of the department. For example, Bran Blackshaw- as the newly appointed Mental Health and Disabilities rep- sits on the Equality and Diversity committee to represent the Archaeology department.

The committee is headed by a student co-chair (Caitlin Laurence, third year) and a staff co-chair, Pam Graves. The committee is really important to our student experience- any issues anyone has, no matter how big or small, can be taken to a course rep to be raised at a committee meeting. It's our job to make your voice heard! If you have any specific queries and want to raise them, click the link below.
